Winnipeg Underground Film Festival
June 1 to 4th, 2017

SDUFF vs. WUFF // 8pm, June 1st
At Forth (Main Floor, 171 McDermot Ave)

Underground filmmaking is often less about form or content than it is about context and community. With that in mind, we’ve decided to kick off this fifth Winnipeg Underground Film Festival with a California collision - some of the most exciting and bizarre left-field work from our open call paired with works shown at the 2016 San Diego Underground Film Festival, and the World premiere of a film by one of its founders. What better way to start the fest than by jumping straight into the deep end? New work from Canada and the United States, with SDUFF directors Ryan Betschart and Rachel Nakawatase in attendance.
